১২ বছর বয়সে পিতৃব্য আবু ত্বালিবের সাথে সর্বপ্রথম ব্যবসা উপলক্ষে শাম বা সিরিয়া সফর করেছিলেন। কিন্তু ‘বাহীরা রাহেবের কথা শুনে চাচা তাকে সাথে সাথেই মক্কায় ফেরৎ পাঠিয়েছিলেন। এখন তিনি পঁচিশ বছরের পরিণত যুবক। কুরায়েশ বংশে অনেকে ছিলেন, যারা নির্দিষ্ট লভ্যাংশের বিনিময়ে ব্যবসায়ে পুঁজি বিনিয়ােগ করতেন। কিন্তু নিজেরা সরাসরি ব্যবসায়িক সফরে যেতেন না। 

এজন্য তারা সর্বদা বিশ্বস্ত ও আমানতদার লােক তালাশ করতেন। খাদীজা বিনতে খুওয়াইলিদ ছিলেন এমনই একজন বিদুষী ব্যবসায়ী মহিলা। মুহাম্মাদের সততা ও আমানতদারীর কথা শুনে তিনি তার নিকটে অন্যদের চেয়ে অধিক লভ্যাংশ দেওয়ার অঙ্গীকারে ব্যবসায়ের প্রস্তাব পাঠান। চাচার সাথে পরামর্শক্রমে তিনি এতে রাযী হয়ে যান। 

অতঃপর খাদীজার গােলাম মায়সারাকে সাথে নিয়ে প্রথম ব্যবসায়িক সফরে তিনি সিরিয়া গমন করেন। ব্যবসা শেষে মক্কায় ফিরে আসার পরে হিসাব-নিকাশ করে মূল পুঁজি সহ এত বেশী লাভ হস্তগত হয় যে, খাদীজা ইতিপূর্বে কারু কাছ থেকে এত লাভ পাননি।

At the age of 12, he first visited Syria for business with his cousin Abu Talib. But on hearing of the Bahira monk, his uncle immediately sent him back to Makkah. He is now twenty-five years old. There were many in the Quraish dynasty who invested in business in exchange for certain dividends. But they themselves did not go on business trips directly.

That is why they were always looking for trustworthy and trustworthy people. Khadija bint Khuwailid was such a brilliant business woman. Hearing of Muhammad's honesty and fidelity, he sent him a business offer promising to pay him more dividends than others. In consultation with his uncle, he agreed.

He then went to Syria on his first business trip with Khadija's Gelam Mysara. Upon her return to Makkah at the end of her business, she made a calculation and gained so much profit, including the original capital, that Khadija had never received so much profit from anyone before.
